Today is the Last Day to Become CIRA Member if you want to Vote

September 16, 2011

Dear DOAC Members and domain owners:

Thanks to your support, the DOAC endorsed candidate in the current CIRA Board Elections, Frank Michlick, has made it to the final member-nominated slate in this election!

There are 9 candidates running for the single seat available to member nominated candidates, with three seats available for the candidates selected by the nomination committee.

In order to be able to vote in this election, you must be a CIRA member before September 20th, 2011, so please become a member now if you haven't done so.  In fact, because processing and approval of new members can take several days, please make sure you apply to become a member before 5 pm EST on September 16, so there will be enough time before the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 20, 2011 and the Board of Directors election on September 21, 2011.  The voters’ list will be created at the start of the AGM and only those who are approved as Members by then can vote.

Voting will be conducted online and will run from 12 pm noon EST on September 21 until 12 pm noon EST on September 28, 2011.

You need to own a .CA domain (and comply with the presence requirements) in order to become a CIRA member. You can get a free .CA domain here: http://www.gybo.ca/
